Vietnamese government unites with Thai private sector to support Thai beauty products entering Vietnam market for the first time at Inter Beauty Vietnam

Global Exhibition and Convention Service Co., Ltd. (GECS) and Vietnam Beauty Association (VNBA) under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) have strengthened their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU sets out the framework within which Vietnamese government will officially collaborate to support training services and Technology transfer which will occur at Inter Beauty Vietnam, the B2B beauty trade show that brings all providers of beauty industry in Southeast Asia to experience new innovative product and explore brilliant beauty services. The event will be held March 7-9th, 2019 at Hanoi International Center for Exhibition (ICE), Vietnam.

Ms. Ladda Mongkolchaivivat, said that Inter Beauty Vietnam 2019 will be a fascinating array of products,services and provide training programs to create skilled beauty workers including skills courses in eyelashes extension, pedicure, Thai massage and spa, holistic health, and hair salon technique.

During the MoU ceremony, Dr. Marut Jirasetsiri, director general, Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Mr. Somnuek Suchaitanavanit, Director of Thai Herbal and Medicinal Division, Ms. Pannakarn Jiamsuchon, Minister Counsellor Commercial, Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy and Sirikorn Phatakongsin, Managing Director of Siri Cosmetics Co., Ltd. and 120 guests had witness the signing.

Ms. Ladda added that this is the first time that the collaboration closely supports Thai and Vietnamese beauty entrepreneurs in pushing for further investments in the country. Inter Beauty Vietnam will be a place that allow buyers, sellers, entrepreneurs and consumers to establish commercial network and exchange idea from industry insights.

“The beauty industry in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has witnessed surging growth of 30%, thanks especially to the middle-income group,” said Mrs. Ladda Mongkolchaiwiwat, managing director of Global Exhibition and Convention Service Co., Ltd. (GECS) – the leading international exhibition company in the CLMV bloc (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam). “The beauty segment will involve an increasing number of the population – up to 33 million by 2022. Vietnam now has a population of more than 95 million, 30% of whom are a new generation, or millennials, who are knowledgeable, love to use cosmetics and take good care of their health. They give first priority to using quality products and services from abroad,” she revealed.

Global Exhibition and Convention Service has now teamed up with its partners and network internationally and local Vietnam with the strong support from Thai Traditional Medicine and Alternative Medicine Department under Ministry of Public Health to bring Thai herbs, beauty and spa products to Vietnam. The show features with many products from leading Thai companies including S Green Caviar and S Luxury soap from Siri Cosmetics Co., Ltd., Med Series dietary supplement and beauty product from Best Health Mart, Senspa product from C.A.RE. Co., Ltd., Beauty packaging from KBF Interpack Co., Ltd. and Thai Herbs product from Abhaiherb.
